A washing machine for
FARAJA ORPHANAGE in Tanzania
Every start has its difficulties. It took some effort and fortune to find a great first charity project
for BSL777 to support to set a starting point. So, we are proud to have been given the opportunity to support this great charity project
after someone who knows someone, told us about it - as it always is in life. Many thanks to Diana who was so kind to get us in touch with James Kissiri und Heriel M Lukumai from FARAJA ORPHANAGE CHILDREN’S HOME in Arusha, Tanzania (www.farajaorphanagechildrenshome.org).
We asked Diana how we can help. Her answer came quickly; a washing machine and her justification was that currently people have to wash laundry of 42 children by hand … we did not think twice and asked what a good machine would cost. The next day we received pictures of different models.
Diana then wrote us who will take care of purchasing the washing machine. Now we had the contact, the country of destination and a price as well as faith in the people - that is all it takes for a Western Union money transfer. A few minutes later we had the coveted transaction code (MTCN), which we passed on immediately. The following day the money was picked up. It did not take long and we received confirmation that everything has worked out perfectly, in the form of pictures and a video.
It took 2.5 days from the idea in Bosnia over the organization in Austria and finally to the washing machine in Tanzania - hearts don't know any borders.
Thanks a lot to:
Diana,
James Kissiri and Heriel M Lukumai,
and special thanks to Western Union - your service makes the world a little bit smaller and delivers support quickly
where it's needed the most, even if it's just money.
